We Came for
the Books

and stayed for the friends!

A reading night for people who keep meaning to get back to it.

How a reading night works

  1. First

Bring any book you're excited about

Whatever you're reading right now is perfect! Mystery, romance, history, the one with the dragon on the cover. Every genre is welcome here.

  2. Then

Settle in for an hour of reading

Tuck your phone away, grab a tea or coffee, and get lost in your book with a room full of people turning pages together. It's the easiest hour of reading you'll have all week.

  3. After

Stay and meet your fellow readers

Share what you're reading, swap recommendations, and make new friends. Stay as long as you like!

What's coming up

Join the list and you'll hear first. Reading nights are free.

Why this exists

My youngest headed to college this fall, and the house got very quiet.

I used to read constantly. Somewhere in the middle of raising kids, I mostly stopped. I've been slowly trying to find my way back. It turns out reading is easier when someone is sitting across from you doing the same thing.

So I'm starting a reading night. If your home is quieter than it used to be, or you just buy books faster than you read them, come sit with us.
